About the Role
Scaling environmental markets is critical to advancing the energy transition and achieving global decarbonization targets. ECM provides a dynamic, transparent platform for trading renewable energy certificates (RECs)—including YEK-G and I-REC—and carbon credits, ensuring seamless access for buyers and suppliers.
We are seeking an Trade Development Manager to develop and strengthen demand-side strategies for RECs and carbon credits while also fostering supply-side relationships. This role will be instrumental in driving REC market growth, onboarding new clients, and ensuring ECM becomes the platform of choice for renewable energy and environmental assets.

Your Responsibilities
Lead the development of demand-side opportunities for RECs (YEK-G, I-REC) and carbon credits, engaging corporate buyers, industrial players, and energy-intensive sectors.
Develop and execute strategies to increase liquidity and trading volume on the ECM platform, focusing on renewable energy markets.
Foster strong relationships with buyers to identify and address their sustainability needs while also supporting supply-side engagement with project developers.
Conduct detailed market analysis, tracking pricing trends, emerging regulations, and competitive activity to drive strategic decision-making.
Onboard new clients to the ECM platform, ensuring a smooth transition and delivering an exceptional client experience.
Collaborate Product and Operations teams to enhance ECM offerings and address client requirements.
Represent ECM at industry events and conferences, positioning it as a trusted hub for REC and environmental asset trading.
Build long-term partnerships with energy suppliers, corporates, and sustainability leaders to advance market participation.
Qualifications
Extensive experience working with renewable energy certificates (RECs), particularly YEK-G and I-REC markets, as well as voluntary carbon markets.
Proven experience in a client-facing role with a track record of success working directly with customers, project developers, partners, and corporates in a sales or business development capacity.
Strong understanding of tech-based environmental platforms and the digital infrastructure supporting REC and carbon markets.
Ability to identify demand-side opportunities, develop tailored strategies, and drive liquidity growth for trading platforms.
Exceptional analytical skills to assess REC pricing dynamics, emerging trends, and regulatory changes, translating them into actionable strategies.
Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills with a focus on long-term client engagement.
Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; experience with analytics or programming tools (Python, R) is advantageous.
Fluency in English and Turkish is required; additional languages are a plus.
Located in Istanbul or Ankara, with flexibility for in-office work and client engagement.
