About the Role

The Environmental Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving Azalt’s environmental expertise across life-cycle assessments, carbon footprint calculations, mitigation projects, and innovative product offerings. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter to join a rapidly growing startup at the cutting edge of climate tech and finance. Reporting to the Research Lead, this role requires someone who can work cross-functionally, drive projects to completion, and support Azalt’s mission to simplify sustainability management for businesses.

Your Responsibilities

  • Onboard customers and provide support for Azalt Enterprise clients

  • Lead Azalt’s environmental engineering efforts, including life-cycle assessments, ESG reporting, carbon footprint calculations, and mitigation project development

  • Collaborate with the product team to enhance and refine Azalt ESG Software's functionalities

  • Develop systematic workflows and tools to streamline environmental data management

  • Provide analytical insights to improve the quality of Azalt’s data for corporate clients

  • Support the sales team with technical expertise during client interactions and product demonstrations

  • Establish KPIs and reporting systems to measure team performance and project outcomes

  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to maintain Azalt’s competitive edge

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field is required

  • 1-5 years in environmental engineering, with specific experience in carbon mitigation projects preferred

  • Knowledge of ESG frameworks and reporting is a must

  • Strong ability to handle quantitative and qualitative data, with a preference for candidates familiar with data science tools

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is a must

  • Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse teams and stakeholders

  • A meticulous approach to tasks and deliverables

  • Sales experience is a plus, but not mandatory

  • Team management experience is preferred
